Corn and Green Chillies Potato Cutlets

This Corn and Green Chili Potato Schnitzel recipe makes a lot, which is great because these schnitzels freeze beautifully. INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING GREEN CHILLIES CORN AND POTATO CUTLETS

  • 1 cup corn (fresh/frozen)
  • 2 medium potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1/2 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Besan (roasted)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 1/4 tsp pepper (crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp

HOW TO MAKE CORN AND GREEN CHILLIES POTATOES CUTLETS

We start by boiling the potatoes with their skins on and cook them for 20 to 25 minutes on medium heat at full heat. After cooking, peel off the skin and it is now ready to poke. Use a potato masher or a simple fork and mash the potatoes thoroughly. Season with salt, red chili powder, cumin and chaat masala. Also add freshly chopped coriander and mint along with chopped onion. Add roasted gram flour (besan) with corn flour to make the cutlet crispy. Mix all the ingredients! Create a cutlet shape. Coat well with breadcrumbs and shallow fry to get golden crispy potato wedges. Keep it on absorbent paper to prevent it from getting wet.

It is healthy to make potato chips in an air fryer. To start the process, remember to preheat your fryer to 220°C or 428°F for 5 minutes. Spray oil on the bottom of the air fryer basket and leave the steak in the basket with some distance. Now spray the cutlets well with oil, it will help you fry them until crispy. Turn on the frying for 12 to 15 minutes. After 7 minutes, turn the chop and cook on the other side.

In a small blender, process the cooked corn or frozen corn mixture to a coarse paste without adding water. Transfer the paste to a large mixing bowl and add the cooked and mashed potatoes (soaked), then add the onion, capsicum, chilli and ginger to the paste, spices and salt.

Add ¼ cup of breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon of roasted besan, 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 2 tablespoons of cooked corn torn apart and crushed and cracked black pepper, also add If there is too much moisture, add more breadcrumbs.
